This is a quick task to get people familiar with building with LEGO. The facilitator asks everyone to build a tower (or a bridge) trying to introduce some light-hearted competition (“Let’s see who can build the tallest model”). Occasionally the facilitator reminds participants that it must be free standing and can introduce simple rules such as adding a base plate at the bottom, or a minifigure on top.
Reflection:
- Each tower is built in a different way and each of these is equally valid.
- Whatever we are talking about, everyone has a unique perspective about it.
- When asked to destroy the models, participants recognise the attachment they have.
